Tony,
I have been pretty busy this fall, but wanted to write you about our trip.
It was a great experience (I am glad we were not there a few weeks later when the Friendship Highway washed out!)
The number of things that had to go right (documents for Tibet, timing of guides, etc.) was amazing, and they all got done perfectly!
Naryan and his group at Himalayan Mentor in Nepal did everything they said they would, and were great hosts.
I also wanted to thank you for setting us up with the Tibet Guide Tenzin Gelie. He is of course and excellent guide, but also because we did not want to sleep at the base camp, it was perfect that he knew Tashi Dzom, and was from the area.
Let me know if anyone needs a reference for you—It can be scary to wire money overseas, but I can vouch that you are honest, competent, and did everything you said you would.
Thanks again
Jim Rancourt
