Tibet Tour Itinerary: 8 days Tibet Everest-Base-Camp-Kathmandu Overland Landscape Adventure:

April12 Day01 arrive at Lhasa airport by flight from Chengdu, to be picked up and transfer to downtown Lhasa, rest for altitude in Lhasa [with altitude of 3650m] o/n in Dhood Gu Hotel. Note, on today afternoon we would drive to visit Sera Monastery for the interesting Buddhism study activities because on Sunday (April13, there is no activity of the monk’s debate).

April13 Day02 Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, hotel as above

April14 Day03 Countryside trip (better experience than one day city tour): Lhasa-Drak Yerpa Meditations caves-Taktse County-Ganden Monastery-Tibetan Village view (if you are interested, we can take you to have a visit to local Tibetan family where allowed), around 6-7 pm, we drive back to Lhasa

April15 Day04 Lhasa-Lake of Yamdrok-Tso-Karola Glacier-Gyantse (Pelkhor Monastery and Kumbum Pagoda)-Shigatse, o/n in Shigatse Manasarovar Hotel or similar 3 star hotel if late booking (private toilet, shower, and twin-share basis)

April16 Day05 Shigatse [3900m], visit Tashilhunpo Monastery and local Tibetan streets, then around 2:30pm, we drive to Shegar, 240 km landscape trip [New Tingri] [4050m], accommodation in Hotel best available

April17 Day06 Shegar-Rongphu [4900m]-Everest Base Camp, 5150m, (4 km trek from campsite to Base Camp or you can take local environmental vehicle by yourself if you feel too hard to do the 4 km trekking on the high altitude)-Rongphu, enjoy the view to Mt. Everest, sunset pictures, in the afternoon, we trek back to stay in Campsite (tent guesthouse if available) which is about 4 km to Everest Base Camp or stay in Rongphu Monastery guesthouse;

April18 Day07 Rongphu Monastery-Old Tingri [4390m]-Zhangmu around 8 pm; this morning we may be able to have the sunrise photos of the Mt. Everest peak. After enough leisure time, we will leave Everest Base camp and drive to Tibet border. Have a good rest in Zhangmu; enjoy the small town culture in the Tibet Border, O/n in Zhangmu hotel or similar one if late booking.

April19 Day08  leave Tibet for Kodari-Kathmandu, Nepal [1400m] 123km, to be picked up and transfer to Kathmandu (tour ends when you get to Kathmandu), hotel by yourself
