Important Tibet travel Tips:
1) travelers should prepare some high altitude medicine to help acclimatize to the high altitude smoothly in the first 2 to 3 days;
2) Namtso Lake day trip is one of the highlight, however this is a very busy and long day driving trip covering 500 km round-trip beautiful landscape, and it is only suitable for travelling between April15 to Oct.15 according to our 12 years organization experience.
3) We suggest guests use better hotels in Lhasa and Shigatse city to make the whole trip more comfortable, because this is long distance busy trip in a short time, everyday you could be tired.

Day 1 Arrival by train or air, transfer to Lhasa, check in hotel, rest for acclimatization
Upon your arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or Lhasa Newwu Train Station, your Tibetan local guide and driver will pick you up with your name sign, and then they will transfer you to Lhasa city safely. Please be not so anxious to walk much around hotel to see this that, but you do need a good rest in your hotel for needed acclimatization, otherwise you maybe under the weather little bit and easy get mountain sickness. Accommodation: 4 stars standard and centrally located hotel (or any kinds of accommodations as per your idea)
Day 02 Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa: Potala, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Streets and Sera Monastery
Today what we will visit in Lhasa is the vital Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple with her vicinities. Potala palace is Lhasa's most important landmark and she a wonder of Eastern architecture. Your first site of this massive structure will be a magical moment which will be remembered for your rest life time. It has been a palace since the fifth or sixth century and was once the home to the Dalai Lama. Well another visit we will take is to Jokhang Temple which locoates at Barkhor Bazaar. This temple is the most revered shrine in Tibet and is constantly bustling with devout worshippers. We will also be given the opportunity to shop in Barkor Bazaar, the crowded central market in ancient section of Lhasa where is the residence of many local people. Finally today's 3rd highlightseeing is to visit Sera Monastery. The Sera Monastery is a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well preserved monastery is located just a few miles North of Lhasa and is home to several hundred monks. Its famous debating activities are happening 3-4pm quite regularly every working day, we will not give it a miss.
Day 03 Lhasa-Damxung County-Lake Nam-Tso-Lhasa (500 km roundtrip of landscape and Nomad culture experience)
To experience the natural views of Tibet is a dream of many tourists. This one day roundtrip tour will offer you great opportunity to see the real Tibet. You will see the great mountains, huge grasslands, local nomads, sheep, yaks, goats, horses, most importantly, you will feel the pure huge Lake-Nam-Tso, which is 4718m high. It is the second-largest saltwater lake in China, the first being Koko Nor (Qinghai-Lake) in Qinghai province. More and more people want to visit this holy lake. In clear weather the water is a miraculous shade of turquoise and there are magnificent views of the nearby mountains. The wide open spaces, dotted with the tents of local drokpas (Nomads) are intoxicating. On the way back to Lhasa, we can stop in Yangpachen Hot spring where we can enjoy the Hot sping service on our own if we want.
Day04 Lhasa-Shigatse city[3900m], the 2nd largest city in Tibet
Around 8:30 am, we will leave Lhasa for Shigatse which is the second largest city of Tibet. We are going to spend around 3-4 hours driving smoothly along this well paved China-Nepal Highway (Lhasa-Shigatse section, 280km). Today we will give visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery and Shigatse local free market.
Comfortable Accommodation: Shigatse Manasarover Hotel or similar nice one (Tibetan style) if late booking due to hotel tight resource especially during high season or festival time.
Day 05 Drive Shigatse-Rongphu Monastery[5180m]-Campsite, o/n in Tent house
After early breakfast in Shigatse, we will drive onward to Rongphu Monastery, near Everest Base Camp. It is 350 km touch drive, but our guide and driver will take good care of you along this high altitude road, you have lots of chances to stop wherever to shoot pictures of mountains, rivers, all the landscape is tremendous.
Accommodation: Mt. Everest Northern Base Camp's Campsite Tent House (domitory tent with blankets, quilts, heating service)
Day 06 Rongbuk-EBC-Shigatse
we get up early for Everest sunrize pictures in Rongphu and trek 8 km or take horse carriages to Everest Base Camp, have close visit to Mt. Everest,in the middle afternoon (around 3-4 pm, we drive back to Shigatse city where we can have better hotel accommodation. o/n in hotel.
Day 07 Shigatse-Gyantse-Lake Yamdrok Tso-Lhasa
After early breakfasts in this second largest city, we take an easy drive of 90 km for Gyangtse where will visit Pelkhor Choed Monastery and Kumbum Pagoda, after lunch in this town, we will drive along the southern Lhasa-Shigatse natural view routing to visit the Lake of Yamdrok Tso. Around 6 pm, we will get back to Lhasa. o/n in hotel.
Day 08 depart Tibet for next destination
Your private Tibetan driver and the guide will see you off to airport or train station, your Tibet tour with Tibet CTrip ends (if you need additional tour services in Nepal or China, we would be more than happy to organize as well).
