Day 01 Arrive at Lhasa for acclimatization by air or train
Today's highlights:Airport/train station transfer to hotel, Acclimatize to the High Altitude.
Yarlong Tsangpo river
Details:Fly into Lhasa or arrive in Lhasa by train. Local guide will meet you and transfer you to Lhasa. On the way, you can appreciate the heart-beating highland view along the Yarlong Tsangpo river (the longest river in Tibet and highest river on the earth with an average altitude of 4,000 meters), originating from Jiemayangzong Glacier on the northern Himalayas.


Day 02 Sightseeing in Lhasa: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Bakrhor Streets
Today's highlights:Potala Palace, Jokhang temple, Barkhor Street
Today, you will visit the highest palace in the world-Potala Palace which is the Dalai Lama's winter palace. It locates on the red hill, a good viewing point in Lhasa.
In the afternoon, we go to the renowned Jokhang Temple which will provide you one of your first sights of devout Tibetans. In the temple you will see the glistening Sakyamuni statue which is considered as Tibetan Buddhism's rarity.
After then, stroll around the bustling Barkhor Street. 

Day 03 Sightseeing in Lhasa--Tibet Museum, Drepung and Sera Monastery
After breakfasts in hotel, we will pay a quick visit to Tibet Museum through which you may learn the Tibetan culture, history and development stroies. Then we will drive to west Lhasa city section (about 5km from Museum) and give a visit to the Drepung Monastery, which was once the world's largest monastery. Housing 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery lies hidden in between the rocky ridges which are just beyond the city. Surprisingly much of the building was left untouched many years.In the afternoon, the site we will visit is Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well preserved monastery is located just 5km to North of Lhasa city and is home to several hundred lamas. Its famous debating activities happen around 3-4pm quite regularly every working day and we will not give it a miss.


Day 04 Lhasa-Yamdrok Yumtso-Gyantse-Shigatse
Today's highlights:Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, Pelkhor Monastery, Kumbum Stupa, Tashilumpo Monastery, Village Family Visit
About hundred kilometers, you will appreciate the holy Lake of Yamdrok Yumtso Lake.The sacred lake of Yamdrok Yutso is revered as a talisman, supporting the life-spirit of Tibet. It is said that should its waters dry, Tibet will no longer be habitable.
Drive to Gyantse to visit the Pelkhor monastery for its famous Kumbum Pagoda.
On the way to Shigates have a mountain village family visit for a glimpse of everyday Tibetan life. Head to Shigatse to visit Tashilumpo Monastery which is Panchen Lama's seat place.


Day 05 Shigatse-Mount Everest Base Camp
Today's highlights:Rongbuk Monastery, Mount Everest Base Camp
After hours of driving we arrive at the highest monastery of the world, the Rongbuk monastery. Upon arrival, take carriage or hike to Mt. Everest Base Camp. You can appreciate the spectacular Himalayan and the highest mountain in the world-Mount Everest.
Since you will stay overnight at EBC or Rongbuk guesthouse, you will have great chance to see the sunset of Mount Everest.


Day 06 Mount Everest Base Camp-Old Tingri-Zhangmu
Today's highlights: Sunrise of Mount Everest
Details: Get up early in the morning to appreciate the sunrise of Mt. Everest if you are lucky. Head to Tibet border Zhangmu in the late afternoon


Day 07 Zhangmu-Nepal Border-Kathmandu

Today's highlights: Border Transfer
Details:Drive to the Friendship Bridge of the border and go through the China customs. Our guide will see you off at the Kodari of the Tibetan side. We can help you arrange the border transfer if you need, otherwise, you arrange the transfer by yourself at the border.
