June12) Day2. Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa:  Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, hotel as above

Today what we will visit in Lhasa is the vital Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple with her vicinities. Potala palace is Lhasa's most important landmark and she a wonder of Eastern architecture. Your first site of this massive structure will be a magical moment which will be remembered for your rest life time. It has been a palace since the fifth or sixth century and was once the home to the Dalai Lama. Well another visit we will take is to Jokhang Temple which locates at Barkhor Bazaar. This temple is the most revered shrine in Tibet and is constantly bustling with devout worshippers. We will also be given the opportunity to shop in Barkhor Bazaar, the crowded central market in ancient section of Lhasa where the residence of many local people are.

June 13) Day3. Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa:  Visit Drepung and Sera Monastery.

After breakfasts in hotel, we will drive to west Lhasa city section (about 11km) and give a visit to the Drepung Monastery, which was once the world's largest monastery. Housing 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery lies hidden in between the rocky ridges which are just beyond the city. Surprisingly much of the building was left untouched many years.

In the afternoon, the site we will visit is Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well preserved monastery is located just 5km to North of Lhasa city and is home to several hundred lamas. Its famous debating activities happen around 3-4pm quite regularly every working day and we will not give it a miss.

Travel tips: Sera Monastery highlight sightseeing is to visit the Monk's debating activity which happens from 3 pm to 5:30pm normally from Monday to Saturday

June14) Day4. We will drive to visit Drak Yerpa caves for some breathtaking views and then drive to visit Gaden Monastery, and we continue to drive to Tedrum Hot Spring, o/n in Shambhala Source (local best Tibetan traditional hotel)—enjoy the hot spring

 

June15 Day5 Enjoy the visit to Tedrum Nunnery and Drigungthil Monastery—and we will drive back to Lhasa around 7 pm

June 16 Day6 Today we will depart from Lhasa to Lake Namtso (5hours) and overnight there to see morning and evening sun set. Tonight the accommodation is basic

June17 Day7.  Drive back to Lhasa and on the you can visit the famous Yangpachen Hot Spring for some family relaxation and it’s good for skin

June18 Day8. Lhasa-Lake Yamdrok-Karola Glacier-Gyantse

In the morning you'll start to drive to Gyantse on the Southern Friendship Highway. Crossing over the summit of Kamba La (4794 m), you'll see the tranquil turquoise waters of Lake Yamdrok below; one of the three holiest lakes in Tibet . Far in the distance you'll spot the towering massif Mt. Nojin Kangtsang (7191m) and the staggering Karo-la Glacier (5045m).

Overnight in Gyantse to see Kumbum Pagoda and Pelchoe monastery.

June19 Day9 after visit Pelkhor Monastery, from this town we will drive (2hours) to Shigatse, the second largest city of Tibet and explore more about local traditional lifestyle and products. (We will visit Tashi Lhunpo monastery) with largest statue of future Buddha in Tibet (Maitreya)

June20 Day10 Today we will drive back to Lhasa along the Beautiful Fantastic Northern Scenery road (via Mountain Shugala and Nomad Village countryside view and life view)
