Your first site of this massive structure will be a magical moment which will be remembered for your rest life time. It has been a palace since the fifth or sixth century and was once the home to the Dalai Lama. Well another visit we will take is to Jokhang Temple which locoates at Barkhor Bazaar. This temple is the most revered shrine in Tibet and is constantly bustling with devout worshippers. We will also be given the opportunity to do some easy shopping on your own in Barkor Bazaar, the crowded central market in ancient section of Lhasa where is the residence of many local people.

After breakfasts in hotel, we will drive to west Lhasa city section (about 11km) and give a visit to the Drepung Monastery, which was once the world's largest monastery. Housing 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery lies hidden in rocky ridges just beyond the city. Surprisingly much of the building was left untouched throughout so many hundred of years.
In the afternoon, the site we will visit is Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well preserved monastery is located just a few miles North of Lhasa and is home to several hundred monks. Its famous debating activities are happening 3-4pm quite regularly every working day, we will not give it a miss.

Day 04 final day on your own arrangements in Lhasa
Toay is for your own arrangements. If your Tibet holiday is scheduled a little bit tight, we may remove this day off.

Day 05 Lhasa -Lake Yamdrok Tso-Gyantse [3950m] 260 km
Today we leave Lhasa and begin our overland adventure onward to Kathmandu,Nepal. One of the first sites we are to see while traveling along the Awful Friendship Highway is the mountain Pass-Khamba La. The breathtaking view at Khamba La allows us to shoot pictures of the summit of Nonjin Khang Sang. Truly an amazing view to the mountain peaks, snake-like lake-Yamdrok Tso (more info as below)! While continuing southwest we will travel over the Karo La, a high pass surrounded by stupendous glaciers. The rest of the day will be spent enjoying the many magnificent valleys and beautifule and Unique Tibetan villages we pass through. The day will end in the town of Gyantse. o/n in hotel.
Info re Lake Yamdrok-tso: it is one of the three largest lakes in Tibet, lies about a hundred kilometers' distance to the southwest of Lhasa. it is within Langkamu county, with an area of 638 square kilometers and a coastal line of 250 kilometers. The deepest point is 60 metres. To the interior of the lake ten or so hilly islands stand independently one from the other which give homes to flocks of wild ducks. A lot of colorful ducks and geese are swimming on the surface of the lake. There is also plenty of natural fodder for the fish in the lake. The lake has a fish reserve of about 300 million kilograms. That is why it is called "the Fish Store of Tibet". The coast of the lake is an ideal pasture. All these make it an intoxicating quite picture.

Day 06 Gyantse [3950m] - Shigatse [3900m] 90km
First site after breakfast at hotel we will visit is Gyantse Dzong-the historical administration office. This fort dates back to the fourteenth century and offers some of the most amazing views of Gyantse and the vicinities. If the exquisite gold dome is not enough, this stupa is packed with Tibetan sculptures and paintings. The drive today, only 90 km, takes us to the second largest city in Tibet. Shigatse is a laid back city that provides excellent opportunity for both relaxation and exploration. We will explore the local market and the Tahilhumpo Monastery. Tahilhumpo Monastery is one of the largest functioning monasteries in Tibet and was able to last through the Cultural Revolution nearly unscathed. It is a great pleasure to spend some time exploring the busy cobbled lanes twisting around these ancient buildings.
