80 km Tibet Trekking from Ganden to Samye Monastery

Our trek involves a steady climb over a pass to the high altitude (above 5000m) pastures only used by nomads in the summer months. We continue in these highlands through gentle hills and past remote lakes before crossing another pass and dropping into the sheltered valley of Yamalung. Finally we turn into the wide Tsangpo (Brahmaputra) valley and its rolling sand dunes, reach to a Samye valley where our trekking ends. Samye valley is famous for a Samye monastery one of the oldest monastery in Tibet. After spending a day at Samye valley we will drive toward the Gonggar Airport for our final departure.

This 80 km trekking trail can be finished in 4 or 5 days, it depends on the tourists health situation and trekking experiences.Normally, for aged people,we suggest that 5 days for the trek will be more suitable, but for those with some trekking experience and tight schedule,4 days will be enough (a few guyes even finished in 3 days, but not advised this way).

Service highlights: Tibet local English speaking guide, local cook, driver, yak helpers & their yaks, etc will be at your service.
