Trekking from Old Tingri to Everest Base Camp 2013

Tingri to Everest Base Camp provides a heady mix of solitude, wildlife sighting and physical challenge, onagers and gazelle thruve around the trail, and you might even get luchy and see a Tibetan brown bear rambling in the pastures. You will accomplish 70 km in 4 whole days on foot; the route of trekking is in a high-elevation region with altitudes ranging between 4400m and 5300m, on the way to Everest Base Camp you will have enough time to explore the valleys and glaciers below the massive north-face of Mt. Everest and view the most magnificent world's highest mountain scenery.
Here is the Tibet trekking/hiking experience quoted from trip advisor. "The hike to Everest Base camp is not easy but definitely worth it. You may find yourself suffering from the altitude for example, I had a problem sleeping the night before due to insomnia from the altitude. While I had O2 canisters I did not need them. Take it slow and easy and make sure your camera battery is warmed up. I found my water and food freezing the minute I started on the hike. The hike is incredible and getting there is worth it. Everyone is different so there is no way of knowing how the altitude will hit you but if you have the chance I would suggest trying it. If it's too much you of course can turn back. I was with a group of people and the hike was somewhat of a last minute thing. We stayed the night before in guest house. The guest house was rugged as my room had a hole in the window with gale force winds blowing. I hope this review helps."
