Almost all foreign tourists loved the visit to Mt Everest in Base Camp. During this tour, we will visit culture and buddism sites in Lhasa, Gyantse-Shigatse in Central Tibet, view to natural sites of Lake Yamdrok Tso, the great mountain Everest and Nojin Khangsang.

Rough schedule:
Day01 Fly to Lhasa [Lhasa, altitude, 3680m], airport-hotel transfer, check in hotel, rest
Day02 Sightseeing in Lhasa Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar
Day03 Sightseeing in Lhasa: Drepung & Sera monastery
Day04 Lhasa-Shigatse, Tashilhunpo Monastery and local free market), o/n in Shigatse Manasarovar Hotel or Shigatse Shandong Mansion or Shigatse Gangjian Hotel if late booking or due to hotel tight resource in high season.
Day05 Drive Shigatse-Rongphu Monastery, o/n in local guesthouse best available
Day06 trek or take horse carriages to visit Everest, drive back to Shigatse, o/n in Shigatse Manasarovar Hotel or similar one
Day07 Shigatse-Gyantse (Pelkhor and Kumbum)-Lake Yamdrok-Lhasa. o/n in hotel
Day08 leave Tibet (hotel-airport transfer) for next destination

Day to day itinerary

Day 1 Arrival by train or air, transfer to Lhasa, check in hotel, rest for acclimatization
Upon your arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or Lhasa Newwu Train Station, your Tibetan local guide and driver will pick you up with your name sign, and then they will transfer you to Lhasa city safely. Please be not so anxious to walk much around hotel to see this that, but you do need a good rest in your hotel for needed acclimatization, otherwise you maybe under the weather little bit and easy get mountain sickness. Accommodation: 3 stars standard and centrally located hotel (or any kinds of accommodations as per your idea)

Day 02 Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa
Today what we will visit in Lhasa is the vital Potala Palace and the Jokhang Temple with her vicinities. Potala palace is Lhasa's most important landmark and she a wonder of Eastern architecture. Your first site of this massive structure will be a magical moment which will be remembered for your rest life time. It has been a palace since the fifth or sixth century and was once the home to the Dalai Lama. Well another visit we will take is to Jokhang Temple which locoates at Barkhor Bazaar. This temple is the most revered shrine in Tibet and is constantly bustling with devout worshippers. We will also be given the opportunity to shop in Barkor Bazaar, the crowded central market in ancient section of Lhasa where is the residence of many local people.

Day 03 Guided sightseeing tour in Lhasa
After breakfasts in hotel, we will drive to west Lhasa city section (about 11km) and give a visit to the Drepung Monastery, which was once the world's largest monastery. Housing 10,000 monks, Drepung monastery lies hidden in rocky ridges just beyond the city. Surprisingly much of the building was left untouched throughout so many hundred of years.

In the afternoon, the site we will visit is Sera Monastery, a fifteenth century sprawl of golden roofs and whitewashed walls. This well preserved monastery is located just a few miles North of Lhasa and is home to several hundred monks. Its famous debating activities are happening 3-4pm quite regularly every working day, we will not give it a miss.

Day04 Lhasa-Shigatse city[3900m], the 2nd largest city in Tibet
Around 8:30 am, we will leave Lhasa for Shigatse which is the second largest city of Tibet. We are going to spend around 3-4 hours driving smoothly along this well paved China-Nepal Highway (Lhasa-Shigatse section, 280km). Today we will give visit to Tashilhunpo Monastery and Shigatse local free market.

Accommodation will be: Shigatse Manasarover Hotel or similar nice one (Tibetan style) if late booking due to hotel tight resource especially during high season or festival time.

Day 05 Drive Shigatse-Rongphu Monastery[5180m], o/n in local guesthouse or hotel best available
After early breakfast in Shigatse, we will drive onward to Rongphu Monastery, near Everest Base Camp. It is 350 km touch drive, but our guide and driver will take good care of you along this high altitude road, you have lots of chances to stop wherever to shoot pictures of mountains, rivers, all the landscape is tremendous.

Day 06 Rongbuk-EBC-Shigatse
we get up early for Everest sunrize pictures in Rongphu and trek 8 km or take horse carriages to Everest Base Camp, have close visit to Mt. Everest,in the middle afternoon (around 3-4 pm, we drive back to Shigatse city where we can have better hotel accommodation. o/n in hotel.

Day 07 Shigatse-Gyantse-Lake Yamdrok Tso-Lhasa
After early breakfasts in this second largest city, we take an easy drive of 90 km for Gyangtse where will visit Pelkhor Choed Monastery and Kumbum Pagoda, after lunch in this town, we will drive along the southern Lhasa-Shigatse natural view routing to visit the Lake of Yamdrok Tso. Around 6 pm, we will get back to Lhasa. o/n in hotel.

Day 08 depart Tibet for next destination
Your private Tibetan driver and the guide will see you off to airport or train station, your Tibet tour with Tibet CTrip ends (if you need additional tour services in Nepal or China, we would be more than happy to organize as well). And hopefully your Tibet holiday leaves you long memory in your whole life.

Please be aware that, if you want to have more time in Everest Base Camp, we can move the last night stop to Shigatse and leave Shigatse for airport on Day8.
